There was some good news out of San Diego on Monday, as the Chargers said they were optimistic about Antonio Gates suiting up in Week 7 against the Patriots, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. Gates left Sunday's game against the Rams in the second quarter, having suffered a toe injury on his left foot. It's on the same foot he was forced to have surgery on back in 2007, but the Chargers are saying that the two injuries are not related. This is promising for fantasy owners relying on the game's top tight end who had 29 catches and seven touchdowns heading into Week 6. There's absolutely no way to replace Gates' production at the tight end position, so keep those fingers crossed and hope that the news only gets better as we get closer to Sunday.
