INDIANAPOLIS -- Peyton Manning long has been one of the NFL's elite quarterbacks and huge figure in professional sports.

Now, according to one list, he's something else:

The most powerful figure in sports.

Manning, the Indianapolis Colts' 11-time Pro Bowl quarterback and a four-time NFL Most Valuable Player, has been named to the No. 1 position in Businessweek.com's Power 100 -- a listing of the most powerful figures in sports.
