Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne Among Four Colts Pro Bowl Selections

INDIANAPOLIS -- Peyton Manning is going back to the Pro Bowl.

And he's making history again, too.

Manning, the Indianapolis Colts' 13-year veteran quarterback, on Tuesday was named to the Pro Bowl for an 11th consecutive season. He was one of four Colts players named to the Pro Bowl, with the others being wide receiver Reggie Wayne and defensive ends Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis.

Wayne, who was named a starter, made the Pro Bowl for a fifth consecutive season, and Freeney and Mathis -- also named as a starters -- each made it for a third consecutive season.

Freeney has been selected for the game six times; Mathis, three.

Manning, who made the game as a reserve with Tom Brady of New England starting, tied defensive end Gino Marchetti for the most Pro Bowl appearances in franchise history.

Manning, who has made nine consecutive Pro Bowl appearances, has completed 423 of 638 passes for 4,436 yards and 31 touchdowns with 17 interceptions for a 91.4 passer rating this season. He leads the NFL in passing yards.

Wayne, who has recorded 100-plus receptions for a third time in four seasons, has 102 receptions this season for 1,287 yards and five touchdowns. He is the seventh player in NFL history with three or more 100-plus-reception seasons and the 11th player with 10 or more receptions in back-to-back seasons.

He is the eighth NFL player with 1,000 receiving yards in seven consecutive seasons.
