Saints coach Sean Payton quickly rebuffed a report from a New Orleans radio station that Saints quarterback Drew Brees had a serious knee injury. If Brees was truly injured and the Saints continued to play him while not listing him on the injury report, the club would face serious sanctions from the NFL."It's inaccurate," Payton said when asked about the report from WIST radio that Brees had a fracture and torn meniscus in his left knee. "It's not right. Completely false."
The Jets were fined $125,000 in 2009 for not listing Brett Favre on the injury report before a game in 2008 when they knew he had a torn right triceps.
