Can the Cleveland Browns Finish the 2010 NFL Season at 8-8?

Momentum can play a major role in a team's performance. While the New Orleans Saints who rode a three-game winning streak to eventually become the champions of the NFL last season, the Cleveland Browns ended their 2009 campaign on four consecutive wins for the month of December. The Browns entered this season on hopes of continuing their momentum from the previous year with an idea of taking the next step forward. However, fans and experts outside of Cleveland expected nothing from them. However, after their up and down season, the Brown find themselves at 5-7 with the chance to repeat their success from a year ago. Despite the bad elements and contests against their three divisional rivals (Ravens, Steelers and Bengals), the Browns look to run the table with bad weather on their side.

"The good thing about it and I found this out a little bit last year, being here in Cleveland the last month, it's great to be the defensive coordinator because the weather's just beautiful," said Browns' defensive coordinator and twin brother of Jets' Head Coach Rex Ryan, Rob Ryan. "Wind, snow, we've got it all out here so we're looking to make jumps statistically, absolutely. I feel there are no fluke things that happen in this month, it's all about the toughest guys, they win this month and the best coaches." Cleveland will start their December campaign against the explosive Bills in Orchard Park, New York on Sunday. The game against Buffalo is winnable and Cleveland has the formula to defeat them. The Browns have the speed, defensively, to keep up with Bills' quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and company and have the power back in Peyton Hillis to soften Buffalo's defense as the game progresses.
